EDITOR II, JOB LEVEL 8 (PUBLISHING DIVISION): JOB REF HR ED-8-2026

 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

I. Evaluate unsolicited manuscripts to determine whether they satisfy the publishing threshold and requirements.

II. Provide input in the interpretation of education curriculum and subject designs and implementing the publishing proposals and plans as per the curriculum requirements.

III. Undertake substantive and copy editing of manuscripts to meet set standards.

IV. Prepare specific product development proposals for consideration and approval.

V. Determine the source of copyrighted materials for review and consideration and preparing acknowledgements for illustrations and text used.

VI. Provide input in the design and maintenance of effective publishing quality control systems.

VII. Undertake the production of manuscripts as per the requirements of the curriculum designs.

  JOB SPECIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills)

I. Bachelor’s Degree in Information Science, Information Communication Technology or Education or Communication.

II. At least three (3) years’ experience of progressive professional experience in proof reading within a business commercial environment.

III. Bilingual proficiency.
